How
to Create PostScript Files in Windows
You can
create PostScript files in Windows using the AdobePS driver
and an Acrobat Distiller PPD with the source application.
AdobePS and a PPD are installed automatically in the default
Acrobat installation. If AdobePS is not installed, see Setting
up Adobe PostScript Printer Driver for instruction on
how to install an AdobePS printer manually.
Creating
PostScript Files in Windows
Open
a document to convert in its authoring application.
Choose File > Print

Choose the Acrobat Distiller printer from the Printer Name
pop-up menu. In some applications, you may need to click
Setup in the Print dialog box to get access to the Printer
Name menu.

Click on Properties, modify other print options you may
want, and click OK to close the Acrobat Distiller Properties
dialog box. Click OK again to go to the creation of a PostScript
file.

You will be ask to enter a name and location for the PostScript
file you are about to create. Use .ps as the filename extension.
The example below has a filename of "myfile.ps." Click OK
to create the PostScript file.

Your PostScript file is created and you are ready to convert
the file to PDF.
